Our team of professionals has successfully implemented assignments for different organisations in Kenya and Sudan including; ILO, USAID, UNDP, Concern Worldwide, EU-MESP, FAO; Supraid/Trocaire, SET Kenya, Kenya Gatsby Trust, Practical Action and Kenya National Gender and Energy Network. We are currently working on the Kenya Dairy Sector Competitiveness Programme; a USAID funded Project managed by Land O’ Lakes in Kenya. Our interventions are geared towards poverty alleviation and wealth creation. CASCADE works both at community and policy levels, building on existing institutions as a way of localising and recognizing local capacities. This way, we develop and apply participatory methodologies to enable target groups access appropriate solutions to improve their livelihoods and facilitate their involvement in development initiatives. Our competence is demonstrated in building capacity and facilitating linkages and access
to sustainable markets for Micro and Small Scale producers. We do this through 6 key service areas:
- Trade facilitation
- Niche market development
- Facilitating Technology development and transfer
- Facilitating Subcontracting
- Facilitating linkages to alternative Financial Services

Target group
CASCADE works with and through organisations having strong backward linkages to producers and MSEs, while encouraging gender and youth mainstreaming for Wealth creation and poverty eradication. Our primary target is MSEs; but at a secondary level we also work with organisations having strong backward linkages to MSEs.
